Ik ben op 30 december 1964, geboren in Suriname, en in 1965, vlak na mijn eerste verjaardag, met mijn ouders en twee broers naar Nederland verhuisd.
In 1985 ben ik, na het beëindigen van mijn studie Bouwkunde aan de HTS, aan de slag gegaan als bouwbegeleider bij een bouwkundig aannemersbedrijf.
In 1988 ben ik gestart met de 5-jarige deeltijdopleiding Projectontwikkeling en Integraal Ruimtelijk Beheer. Na het voltooien van deze studie in 1993 ben ik tot 2009 als ontwikkelaar bij een projectontwikkelingsmaatschappij werkzaam geweest.
In die periode ben ik betrokken geweest bij diverse interessante en tot de verbeelding sprekende ontwikkelingen, zoals onder andere de ontwikkeling van de Heemtuin, de Czar Peter Buurt (allebei in Zaandam), Het Hoenhuis (een woontoren), en de sloop van de Cablefabriek (allebei in Wormerveer) en de herinrichting van de Stationsbuurt in Volendam.
In 2009 heb ik het avontuur gezocht en ben ik naar Roemenië verhuisd, waar ik als Project Manager bij een projectontwikkelingsmaatschappij aan de slag ben gegaan.
In 2010 ben ik teruggekomen naar Nederland en in 2011 ben ik in Zaandam voor mezelf begonnen als integraal project- en gebiedsontwikkelaar.
Sinds 2011 ben ik werkzaam geweest voor uiteenlopende opdrachtgevers, waaronder de gemeente Zaanstad, Heemraad Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht, woningcorporaties en verschillende particulieren.
Ik heb als projectleider/projectmanager/gebiedsontwikkelaar aan gevarieerde projecten en opdrachten gewerkt. Denk hierbij onder andere aan de ontwikkeling van een gebiedsvisie voor het Vrouwenzand (Amsterdam), een visie op de herontwikkeling van het Floris Badon Ghijselaancentrum (Zaandam), een plan van aanpak voor de herinrichting van de Westrand, een plan van aanpak voor de herinrichting van de Boelewerf (allebei in Zaandam), de begeleiding van het participatieproces (puzzelmappenproject) voor de herinrichting van de Schoenerbuurt, een lokaal gebiedsvisie-ontwikkelingsproces (puzzelmappenproject) voor de wijk Westerwatering, en de herinrichting van de panden van de Laarderkerk (De Warande in Laren).
